What is Kentucky Space?

Kentucky Space is an ambitious non-profit enterprise  involving a consortium of universities, public and private organizations to design and lead innovative space missions within realistic budgets and objectives

Our first major effort was KySat, which is tasked with creating cost efficient small satellites. Today, we have expanded Kentucky Space to include far more.

What are the major goals of Kentucky Space?

We have launched an ambitious program that includes an array of flight opportunities including near space, sub-orbital, orbital and deep space missions and partnerships with organizations world-wide, space agencies and commercial organizations.

Our goal is to help realize a space exploration program that is focused on efficient costs, robust launch schedules, research and educational opportunities. From high-altitude balloon projects to orbital flights, to reaching out to artists and educators to building small satellites, Kentucky Space seeks to energize a user base far outside the boundaries of Kentucky and beyond the traditional models for space opportunities.
